Drawn Textured Yarns
Partially Oriented Yarn (POY) is used to produce Draw
Textured Yarn (DTY). The final outcome of drawing and
twisting the POY simultaneously results in a Draw
Textured Yarn. Draw Textured Yarn’s technical
features make it ideal for a wide range of applications,
as it can be fashioned in a number of different ways.

Detailed Information
These yarns are also known as Air Textured Yarns (ATY)
due to the fact that they are texturized using an air
jet. This is a mechanical procedure. The air-jet
texturizing method utilizes a cold airstream to create
bulked yarns with low extensibility. This texturing
procedure may impart permanent distortions, crimps,
loops, coils, or crinkles to the yarns without
compromising the filaments’ basic continuity. This
technique not only enhances the texture of the yarns but
also imparts a soft, fuzzy feel to them. This texturing
method boosts the warmth and comfort of garments created
with these sorts of yarns. This is mostly due to the
fact that the loops or crimps may trap a large number of
little pockets of air, which prevents air from passing
through the fibers and hence keeps the fabric together.

Draw textured yarn is used in weaving and
knitting to create textiles for clothing,
purses, and seat coverings, among other things.
By using dope-eyed technology, draw textured
yarn can be manufactured in a variety of
colours.
- High insulation properties.
- Has great covering characteristics as well as it is lightweight.
- It has a woolly, matt texture.
- High resilience to wear and tear.
- Moisture content is really low.
- Using doped dyed technology or traditional dyeing, it can be manufactured in an array of colors.
