Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn, generally known as
Polyester POY is the predominant type of Polyester yarn.
It is also known as Polyester Pre-Oriented Yarn. It is
the first kind of yarn manufactured straight from PTA
& MEG or by spinning Polyester PET Chips.

Detailed Information
POY is often coloured using the Dope Dyed process since
it is more efficient and ensures that the yarn is dyed
uniformly throughout. To create the dope coloured POY,
the colour master-batch is combined with the raw
material. Due to the advancement of crimping, twisting,
texturizing, and wet processing technology, the usage of
POY in sarees has surged. POY is a synthetic yarn that
may be used in place of cotton and other natural fibres.
POY / PFY offers a variety of benefits over its
replacements, which is why the demand for POY / PFY
expanded at a CAGR of around +3.5 per cent between 2016
and 2030.
