Spunbond polypropylene is a polymer that is very durable and strong, regardless of whether it is wet or dry. It resists fraying and is tough to unravel, and it only absorbs a little amount of moisture when wet. Meltblown polypropylene, on the other hand, is softer and more malleable than spun bond. Their web strength is their greatest asset, which is why they’re often mixed with other non woven fibres.

While spun bond polypropylene has its benefits, when used in daily applications like coveralls, it may feel stiff and unpleasant. Because meltblown has a webbed structure and is softer, when these two nonwoven fibres are combined, the user is provided with water resistance while yet being comfortable. It’s also breathable, so you’ll be comfortable even if you’re completely covered (like with coveralls).
